Parrots can be characterised by their vibrant plumage,
curved beaks, and zygodactyl feet.
Troy can be characterised by his black hair
and pearly white teeth.
He also grew up in the north inner city,
on Buckingham Street.
The Brazilian little blue macaw was officially declared extinct just last year.
In 2017, Troy signed for Spurs after coming through the ranks at Belvedere.
Parrots are highly social creatures and
not meant to be kept alone.
In 2020, Troy joined Championship side Millwall
on a season-long loan.
Parrots use a specialised vocal organ called a syrinx to mimic human speech and produce complex sounds.
In 2024, Spurs sold Troy to AZ Alkmaar
for six and a half million pounds.
There are more than 350 different species of parrots
in the world today.
Troy has scored fourteen league goals this season.
Eight at home, six away.
All but two from open play.
The oldest recorded parrot was Cookie, who lived to nearly eighty-three
at Chicago’s Brookfield Zoo.
Troy has been linked with a move to Everton and
AC Milan this summer. Borussia Dortmund, too.
