The jury is out.

I stumbled across Happy Hippos in Woolworths over the long weekend and it provided plenty of food for thought.

I have it on good authority (David Attenborough) that hippos are the deadliest land mammals on the planet, after humans (of course we're the worst). They're twice as deadly as lions. Fiercely territorial, they have no bother turning the hunter into the hunted. They've been known to capsize canoes. Their enormous jaws will clamp down on unfortunate fishermen, piercing their backs once, twice, maybe more. It's estimated they kill 500 people every year. Aggressive enough.

They can't swim either apparently, despite being utterly dependant on water.

This hippo may be many things.

Happy is not one of them.

Tasty though.
